Barbara J. Teter

Barbara J. Teter, 88, of Greene passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026. She was predeceased by her parents, Laverne and Viola Slawson; second mother, Peggy Slawson; daughter, Jeanne Clink; brother, Jim Slawson; and sister, Dorothy Kolb. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Richard D. Teter of Greene; daughter, Barbara Foelsch of Venice, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Richard B. and Linda Teter of Greene; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Ron Beiersdorf of Rome, PA; son-in-law, Clarence (Kelly) Clink of Fairport; grandchildren, Chris (Christine) Teter, Jared Foelsch of San Francisco, CA, Samantha (Dan) Haug of Clarence, Josh (Stephanie) Clink of Philadelphia, PA, Luke (Tiffany) Foelsch of San Mateo, CA, Kelsey (Aaron) Jones of Ithaca, Allyson Beiersdorf (Cody Kitzinger) of Freeville, and Zachary Beiersdorf of Athens, PA; great-grandchildren, Jackson Haug, Wyatt Teter, Jeanne Haug, and Gloria Clink; brother, Mark Slawson of MA; sister-in-law, Bernadette Slawson of FL; and several nieces and nephews. Barb was born in Oneonta, New York, on January 27, 1937.  She was a graduate of Franklin Central School and SUNY Oneonta.  She was a home economics teacher and later worked in several stores in downtown Greene, and as a home care aide and a caterer.  Barb volunteered for a number of local organizations, and was a long time member of the choir at the Greene United Methodist Church and a member of the Raymond Chorus.  Her main focus was her family.  She enjoyed music, reading, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.  We will all miss her very  much. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Gift of Life House (Howie's House), 401 Callowhill St, Philadelphia, PA 19123, the Greene Emergency Squad, 30 Birdsall St, Greene, NY 13778 or a charitable organization of your choice would be appreciated.
