Kenneth E. Barnes

Kenneth E. Barnes, 71, of Smithville Flats passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Leroy and Bo. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Cheryl Barnes; daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Jeff Klein; son and daughter-in-law, Casey and Jennifer Barnes; grandchildren, Georgina, Michael, Asher and Willa; mother-in-law, Nancy Doxey; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Craig and Sherri Doxey, nieces, Alexandra and Rachel Doxey. Ken spent his days working at the Greene Brass & Aluminum Foundry and in his spare time, loved to work on machines and engines and was a huge Chevrolet fan. He enjoyed going to flea markets and was always searching for his favorite tools, especially American made Black and Decker products. He loved animals of all kinds. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. A celebration of life will be held at the Greene Bowlodrome on March 7th from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ken's name to the Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N. McKinley Ave, Endicott, NY 13760 or One's local SPCA.
